the new space | part I

I finally got it hung – the 2011 wall calendar from Alice Cantrell. It is one of my favorite things in the new playroom (more on that later). And best of all…it’s FREE!

why so quiet?

No, we have not disappeared. It’s just that we’re slipping (not so easily) into an entirely new routine inside these four walls and this Momma is having a hard time finding the time for sitting, sipping, and key-tapping. But I do have so much to tell you about what we’ve been doing (or not doing) and how it seems to changing the rhythm of our days. So thank you for being patient with me. I do hope to find time to fill you in the next day or so. Until then…

this trip around the sun

Hello, friends. It’s been awhile. How were your holidays? Ours were beautiful. Simple. Full. The way I had hoped. In the end we devoted more attention to our Advent wreath than our tree. Never hung stockings. Never decorated the mantle. Most of the decorations for decking the halls are still nestled under the attic eaves. And you know what? I don’t think we even missed them. And the best part…the celebration isn’t over! Today we’re welcoming another round of out-of-towners. Looking forward to a day of feasting, laughter, and rocking babies. I hope your day is full and fulfilling. Happy New Year!

All is well here. I guess you figured out by now that I’ve unplugged for the holidays. It really wasn’t deliberate. It just sort of happened. I hope to make my rounds and read all of your previous {i n h a b i t} posts, but I won’t be posting. I have a lot of catching up to do! I hope this finds you all happy and well. Merry Christmas to all!

Did you think I’d disappeared? No, still here. We’ve had trouble with our modem this week and my internet access has been sporadic. All is well now but we’re settling into all that is Christmas. I’ll be back soon! Warm wishes to you and yours…
