  1. Ooh. I just realized that it’s been a long time since we’ve had any. I haven’t noticed any yet around us this year.

    My moment: http://www.jenniferkrafchik.com

    Happy weekend to you!

  2. I just read that they’re back. BLAH!!!!!! Your daughter is very brave!! Many years ago, I used to babysit for a boy who thought it would be funny if he put one of those down my shirt. For obvious reasons, I have a HUGE dislike for those things!!!!! : ) I just found you thru SouleMama and wanted to say hi.

    This Moment….

  4. How exciting! I remember them fondly from my childhood.

  5. Great shot… kind of creepy!

  6. I just clicked through from SouleMama. Beautiful blog! I’ll be returning to browse more. But cicadas! 7 years ago my husband and I rode our bikes from Pittsburgh to Washington D.C. (300miles) and it was the year of the cicadas there. They were sticking to us like crazy, stuck in our spokes, etc. I closed my eyes half the time and hoped I stayed on the rail-trail. Those bugs are crazy!

  7. Yikes – what on earth is it??? Looks like something alien, or maybe a spy-bot?? Or some disease spreading tech-device used by the military…?

(Sorry – see what happens to me when Blogger goes down for almost 2 days?!?)

  12. Such a cool capture!

I found you over at SouleMama and wanted to invite you to join in the 52 Weeks of Happiness. It’s a weekly carnival that I host every Tuesday in which I am challenging the blogosphere to scout out joy in their life for one year. All you do is post a photo of something that makes you wildly happy and then tell us all about it.

Here is a link to this week’s carnival if you want to see what it’s all about.
